Kaboomity Walnutty

Puzzles me how some people *cough AITD cough* downvote this for lack of originality. Obviously they don't give a crap about the quality of animation, or all the stuff that was NOT based off the song. Or is he just another someone you know who acts like a retard for kicks?

Anyway, definitely one of your best works thus far. Even though I tend to get all emo-like around this time of February, the animation did a perfect job of complementing the song, and it's so catchy that I'm still watching it. Not to mention, good lord, how many in-jokes and obscure images/bits of text can you cram into a single movie?

Also, if you are going to be doing more Lemon Demon stuff in the future, is there any chance of Pumpkin Pie getting the TmsT treatment? That's one of my personal favourites.

TmsT responds:

The Pumpkin Pie song is one of my instant faves too, but I have other LD songs that are higher in the queue at the moment... ;) We'll see...

"Limited" animation done RIGHT.

Extremely weird pilot episode, but the ending really does beg the appearance of episode 2. This actually kind of reminds me of Bonus Stage. Ever watched that? It must be done at 60 FPS or something, but that can't hide the fact that it's rarely at all funny, and is in fact rather poorly animated in most cases. The author could learn a thing or two from you, seriously.

Xenon responds:

Bonus Stage is done at 30fps, I believe. As is this movie.

Thanks, by the way.

Long live... this stuff.

I see you included Alien Hominid in one of the sketches. Does this mean you've finally tried the console version and perhaps actually liked it? ;p

Anyway, hysterical stuff. The 9/11 sketch was by far the best. Only objection I have to any of them is that the sasquatch looked more like Chewbacca with boobs. x_X

TmsT responds:

Nope, and I plan to never try it either. I just put it in there to kiss some Fulp ass and get a higher rating on NewGrounds.

I guess it paid off, by the looks of things. :D

A non-tablet user is you!

Just goes to show what can be done with a mouse. Frickin' hysterical, A.K. Long live cartoons without cumbersome dialogue!

TmsT responds:

Damn straight! Keep it simple! Simple tools, simple dialogue... simply fun!

DUUUDE!!

I was wondering when you'd get around to this game! Bubble Bobble has GOT to be my favourite classic arcade-style game of all time! I totally agree about the MF-ing impossible levels, but with a lot of practice they aren't so hard. One side note, though: I'm a GTA fan, *AND* I like the cute dinosaurs. So that craps on your theory. ;p

Wicked episode overall, very nice portrayals of the game's graphics, and hilarious spoofing of the various features. "Hey there little fella, wanna Milkbone?" Next time you should do Excitebike -- I'm curious to see how "MF-ing impossible" Guido will find the later levels.

Needle responds:

Well, it's not really a theory - I enjoy Bubble Bobble and GTA too :) But it seemed like the most appropriate game to use in order to get the joke across. Damned puke effect took forever to do o_O

Excitebike might be a tough game to do - it doesn't have a lot of content. It's basically just 5 or 6 levels, if I remember correctly. I'll definitely look into it though.

Definitely underrated.

All I can say right now is... HOLY SH*T!!! This is a VERY good movie -- I have seen better special effects, but the action sequences are so frantic and powerful that it doesn't really matter! The plot is surprisingly good too. I have only one bit of advice: Work on the script. The characters constantly use block capitals and dozens of exclamation marks in unnecessary situations.

Great job, and can't wait to see part 2. :)

LgdVegetto responds:

heh yeh ok. I waz busting my brains trying to figure out a proper script, cause It's difficult to come up with storylines for Sonic movies these days...

Mediocre.

Okay, it's a decent Flash and I doubt it'll get blammed. But you've got a long way to go before people are really going to start complementing your work.

P.S. Your response to Brown_Wolf was unnecessarily harsh. If you're going to be a Flash author, learn to take insults with dignity. There are going to be people who hate your work, no matter WHAT you do.

JamesIsColombian responds:

yeah...it was harsh...srry brown wolf

How come some camels have one hump, and others got two? You see, this is where gasoline comes from -- one hump for regular, two humps for premium and unleaded!
